Bio

Tina Jensen joined the KRQE News 13 team in December 2012 from KIVI and KNIN, the ABC and FOX affiliates in Boise, Idaho, where she was a reporter and anchor.

She has a Master’s degree in Journalism from the University of Southern California’s Annenberg School for Communication and Journalism and an undergraduate degree from Concordia University.

During graduate school, she was an intern for NBC Nightly News with Brian Williams and the Today Show. She worked at KABC as a news assistant and her news pieces have also appeared in the Huffington Post, San Francisco Chronicle, and the Long Beach Press-Telegram.

She was on the start-up team for USC’s Neon Tommy, now the number one online university news site. Tina was also part of the enterprise of a four-part multimedia series on the 10th anniversary of the Columbine tragedy, which received an award from the Society for Professional Journalists.

Tina has received awards from the Radio and TV News Association of Southern California and the Idaho Press Club.

A Los Angeles native, she also grew up in Montana and New York. She loves running in the foothills, singing, and cheering for the Baltimore Orioles.
