As a part of the Affordable Care Act, all hospitals in the United States are required to make public which procedures were performed and billed to Medicare (a health insurance program for people age 65 or older, people under age 65 with certain disabilities, and people of all ages with permanent kidney failure requiring dialysis or a kidney transplant). Larry Barker and the 13 Investigates Team have taken months to collect, convert, and turned them into easy to understand interactive charts and graphs.
You can look at these charts and graphs to find out what hospitals all over the state are charging for procedures that you or a loved one may one day need. You’ll be shocked at some of the differences.
