Santa Fe students lead march to remember victims of DWI

SANTA FE, N.M. (KRQE) – Young people led the charge against drunk driving during a march in Santa Fe.

The “March of Sorrow, March of Hope” was a silent walk at the State Capitol to remember those who have been lost to DWI.

It was organized by the Student Wellness Action Team made up of around 250 Santa Fe middle and high school students.

Some of those students gave musical performances.

There were 129 deaths caused by drunk driving in 2017, 39 fewer than in 2016.
