Albuquerque Kicks Off ‘Read to Me’ Book Drive

The city of Albuquerque wants more kids in the metro to experience the joy of reading.

The city’s 16th annual Read to Me Book Drive kicked off Tuesday.

Each year it aims to build a foundation for developing literacy skills by donating books to elementary school students in low income families.

The city-wide drive runs from Tuesday, Feb. 13 through the end of March.
