Record-breaking attendance reported at 2017 River of Lights

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – Albuquerque Rapid Transit construction didn’t stop people from getting out to see the River of Lights.

The annual holiday event at the Albuquerque BioPark saw record breaking attendance in 2017 with more than 128,000 guests.

The money from tickets goes directly to the zoo, aquarium, Botanic Gardens and Tingley Beach.

Crews are still taking down all the lights and sculptures and will start creating new displays next month.
