National parks to cut back on number of free days

(KRQE) – The number of free days at national parks will be reduced next year.

There were 10 free admission days in 2017, but come 2018, that number will drop to four.

The number of free days increased in recent years, to encourage park visitors during the recession.

The National Park Service hopes the change will bring much-needed revenue to address deferred maintenance issues and enhance the overall park experience.
