PORTALES, N.M. (KRQE) – A New Mexico attorney’s conviction of assault for an incident in court could be dismissed.
Portales lawyer Eric Dixon was arrested in 2015 after witnesses say he was yelling in a man’s face.
When deputies told him he couldn’t behave like that, he said, “Yes, I can. I run this town.”
Tuesday, Dixon entered a plea agreement where the charges will be dismissed if he completes six months of unsupervised probation.
