Albuquerque man charged with shooting at son’s home

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – A 60-year-old Albuquerque man is in jail, charged with shooting at his son’s home.

Officers say Elias Marez showed up to the home Tuesday and threatened to stab his son. The man claims he knocked the knife out of his father’s hand while they argued.

Marez allegedly came back with a gun, and shot at the home.

A neighbor also reported hearing the gunshots while hanging Christmas lights.

Marez is charged with aggravated assault.
