State Police to increase patrols on I-40 over holiday weekend

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – To help keep people safe on the roads, New Mexico State Police are joining other law enforcement agencies for the annual “I-40 Challenge Drive to Zero Fatalities.”

They hope the increased presence on I-40 will lower the number of crashes this holiday weekend. I-40 covers more than 2,500 miles nationwide.

State Police will cover nearly 400 miles in New Mexico.
