ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – This week along Central, Albuquerque Rapid Transit crews will be putting in rumble strips.
The bumpy stretch between lanes creates a noticeable vibration if a car tries to cross it. The hope is the strips will stop regular traffic from moving into the red, bus-only lanes.
On Wednesday, overnight crews will start installing them between I-25 and Louisiana.
The work could cause extra delays along that stretch of Central Avenue.
