ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – A quarter-mile stretch near downtown Albuquerque will be closed for Rio Metro crews to complete roadway rehabilitation and railroad crossing reconstruction.
The remodeling will close a stretch of Indian School Road between First Street and Commerical Street.
Motorists are encouraged to use Mountain Road and Menaul Boulevard between Broadway and First Street as an alternative. The project includes adding new quad-gates, sidewalk construction and widening, and a new concrete roadway surface.
The closure will begin Friday, October 20 at 8:00 a.m. and is scheduled to reopen November 3.
