LINCOLN, N.M. (KRQE) – Officials are hoping conduct some prescribed burns in Lincoln County in the coming weeks.
Crews plan to burn 13 acres north of Lincoln in the Rio Bonito area. The goal is to lower the risk of devastating wildfires.
The work is expected to take several days, but that depends on weather conditions.
Smoke from the burns may be visible from Capitan, Lincoln, and the Ruidoso area.
