ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – Senior citizens planning to visit National Parks like White Sands or Carlsbad Caverns might want to think about picking up your passes now.

The price of admission is going up for the first time since 1994. Come August 28, the Senior Lifetime Pass fee will increase from $10 to $80.

The National Park Service will also now offer an annual senior pass for $20.

Once four annual senior passes have been purchased, the individual will automatically qualify for a Senior Lifetime Pass.
