Reward offered to help catch Eddy County cow killer

CARLSBAD, N.M. (KRQE) – A significant reward is being offered to catch a cow killer.

A rancher in Eddy County says he found one of his cows dead earlier this month. It was later determined that the cow had been shot.

The cow was worth about $2,000. It happened off of Dark Canyon Road in Eddy County, sometime between June 6 and June 7.

Crime Stoppers is offering a $1,000 reward and the Cattle Growers Association is adding another $1,000.
