ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – A man who found himself on New Mexico’s most wanted list for killing another man, learned his fate Friday after taking a plea deal.
Darrius Valles was captured in San Bernardino, California by U.S. Marshals back in February.
He was wanted for the murder of Jerry Jennings near Kathryn and Yale.
Police were able to connect Valles to the murder after finding his electronic ankle monitor at the scene.
In court Friday, Valles pleaded guilty to the charges and was sentenced to seven years behind bars.
