Albuquerque Police investigating shooting at Coronado Mall

ALBUQUERQUE, NM (KRQE) – Albuquerque Police are investigating a shooting that took place at Coronado Mall Saturday morning.

APD confirmed that at about 9:36 Saturday morning a person walked into the mall that appeared to have been shot in the upper shoulder.

Police described the injury as not life-threatening and the victim has been transported to the hospital.

Police believe that an altercation took place outside the mall, but the victim is not cooperating with the police investigation.

A spokesperson with APD said that this was not an active shooter situation.
