San Mateo and Central intersection reopen after fatal crash

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – The intersection of San Mateo and Central is reopened following a fatal crash Tuesday night.

After investigating the scene, police say a male subject was walking across the northbound lanes of San Mateo when he was struck by a vehicle.

Police say that person died on scene. Police have also determined that speed and alcohol are not factors on the part of the driver. The OMI will also conduct a sobriety test on the pedestrian.

The identity of the victim has also not yet been released.
