Amtrak train derails in Mora County

MORA COUNTY, N.M. (KRQE) – A boulder caused an Amtrak train to derail Thursday night.

Officials say the train was traveling between Las Vegas and Wagon Mound when it hit the boulder.

They say the first two engines derailed, but stayed upright. None of the 132 passengers on board were injured.
