Local Horse Rescue hosts family-friendly fundraiser

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — The New Mexico Horse Rescue at Walkin N Circles Ranch is hosting a fundraising event this weekend to entertain families and feed the horses in their care.

Walkin N Circles is a non-profit horse rescue ranch that rehabilitates and finds adoptive homes for abandoned, abused and neglected horses. They are licensed, regulated and inspected annually by the New Mexico Livestock Board. Founded in 2002, they currently care for about 50 horses on the ranch and several more in foster care.

To feed all those hungry horses, they are hosting a fundraising Horse Show/BBQ event on Saturday, October 7 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Edgewood Equestrian Center at 91 W. Frontage Rd. (near Wildlife West Nature Park). The show is free and open to the public. Holy Smoke BBQ will be on site for hungry horse lovers.  Also, anyone who has a horse is welcome to participate.
