Eastbound I-40 now open after vehicle fire

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – Eastbound I-40 at 98th has been reopened after a vehicle fire forced emergency crews to close it.

The interstate was closed for a brief period while the Albuquerque police and fire departments responded.

Traffic was diverted to Atrisco Vista.

Details about the fire or what caused it have not been released.
