ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – Tuesday’s storm was a big one, and now we know just how big. It spawned five tornadoes, according to the National Weather Service.
Chief Meteorologist Mark Ronchetti shows us where multiple tornadoes touched down in New Mexico.
One of the tornadoes was in Roy, one in Clines Corners, another in Ancho and Nogal (both in Lincoln County), and one in Clovis.
Clovis and surrounding areas also got pummeled by huge hail, but no reports of any injuries.
The National Weather Service was so busy, they sent out 92 severe thunderstorm warnings Tuesday. Nineteen of those were tornado warnings and 21 were flood advisories.
