SWAT situation near Broadway, Roma ends with suspect in custody

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – The Albuquerque Police Department said the SWAT situation near Broadway and Roma has ended and the suspect has been taken into custody.

Police sent the notice out to the public around 4:45 p.m due to a barricaded suspect. That scene has since been cleared.

APD said Jeremy Pearson was taken into custody on a felony warrant for probation violation.

Police also said around 7:30 p.m. that a gas irritant was deployed into the air as part of the SWAT situation, and they advise nearby residents to keep their windows and doors shut for the next hour while it dissipates.
