Police investigate after finding body in northeast Albuquerque

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – The Albuquerque Police Department is investigating after a man was found dead in northeast Albuquerque.

Officers were called to the area of Lomas and Edith Wednesday morning where they found a dead body in the road.

Police originally referred to the incident as a “possible shooting,” however police now say the cause of death is unknown.

The Albuquerque Police Department says detectives did notice signs of injury and that medical investigators are working to determine a cause of death.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers.
