Four Hills shooting victims remembered at vigil


ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – Parents and their children came out to honor their three classmates killed in the Four Hills shooting.

A candlelight vigil was held at Manzano Mesa Elementary on Friday night. Through tears, students spoke about missing the kids in class.

“She’s just a really beautiful, happy person. I don’t know why she had to to die,” said one girl.

Elijah Mascarenas (5), Olivia Mascarenas (6), Ian Mascarenas (9), and their mother were ambushed by her ex-boyfriend when they returned to their home. The shooter then killed himself.
