Mark's Thursday Evening Weather Report

A powerful storm system over the Pacific will head toward New Mexico on Friday. Clouds will increase across the area and snow will develop over the mountains. Here in the Albuquerque area the main storm impact will be extreme wind. Gusts will top 55 mph through the day on Friday the chance of showers. Winds across the east to could hit 75 mph. Heavy mountain snow will fall Friday through Saturday to the north. We could see up to a foot along the west facing slopes. The storm will drive in the cold air as it exits Sunday.
