Police issue arrest warrant for anti-police graffiti suspect

VALENCIA COUNTY, N.M. (KRQE) – Belen Police have issued a warrant for a suspect they believe vandalized businesses with anti-police graffiti.

Deputy Chief Robert Miller says an $11,000 cash only warrant was issued for Daniel Kota on Wednesday.

Kota is accused of 11 counts of unauthorized graffiti.

Last week, the Little Caesars on Main Street and Ross Avenue was hit with a derogatory message against police. Included in that message: “Crash Harder Next Time.” That was in reference to Valencia County Sheriff’s Deputy Ryan Thomas who was killed in a crash last Tuesday when responding to a call.
