TAOS, N.M. (KRQE) – The months-long search has ended for the man accused of attacking his wife and newborn at Taos hospital. In September, police say Rafael Orozco beat up his wife in the maternity ward then hit the baby because the woman was breastfeeding in front of a male doctor.
They say Orozco left after threatening hospital security with a gun.
The Taos News reports deputies recently arrested Orozco in Rio Arriba County. He’s being held on a $20,000 cash-only bond.
