John’s Wednesday Afternoon Forecast

Temperature roller coaster...

Temperatures will continue to warm up this afternoon and Thursday as a southwesterly flow sets up over the state. Expect afternoon highs to run 10° – 20° above average. In fact, afternoon highs will be close to records Thursday afternoon. The next storm system will dive toward the state on Friday. This will increase the chance at showers over the northern and western portions of the state. Winds will crank up as well, gusting to as much as 60 mph, especially across the east.

The storm moves quickly, clearing out on Saturday. In its wake is much colder weather. Afternoon highs will drop to near average over the weekend, then below average for early next week.
