Las Cruces police: Those involved in road rage identified

LAS CRUCES, N.M. (AP) — The Latest on a Las Cruces shooting which police say apparently involved road rage (all times local):

11:05 a.m.

Las Cruces police say they’ve identified everybody involved but have made no arrests in a road rage incident in which a 30-year-old man was shot and wounded.

Police say the wounded man was shot in the abdomen and is hospitalized in critical condition. Police said earlier Friday he was in stable condition.

Police say the incident occurred Thursday evening and that the shooting was preceded by a pickup and another vehicle engaging in what police called “aggressive driving.”

Las Cruces police say a 30-year-old man is hospitalized in stable condition after being shot and wounded in an apparent road rage incident.

Police say they’re trying to identify the shooter in the Thursday evening incident.

The wounded man’s identity wasn’t released.

Police swarmed the area where the shooting occurred and blocked off roads in the immediate area as they searched for a suspect.
