FRIDAY: A chilly start to the day with morning temperatures in the teens, 20s and 30s across the state. Sunshine will help warm temperatures into the 30s, 40s and 50s by late day – much warmer than where we topped out on Thursday. No significant rain or snow is expected – plan on mostly to partly sunny conditions and light to moderate winds (stronger winds likely to be found over the higher terrain of northern NM).
SATURDAY: Even warmer! Expect high temperatures to top out above average statewide (more 50s and 60s) under a mostly sunny sky.
SUNDAY: A disturbance crossing late Saturday into Sunday will crank up the winds over the Central Mountains and surrounding highlands. Although there will not be a lot of moisture to work with… westerly flow and a little bit of lift from the higher terrain could trigger spotty rain/snow mix showers (mountain areas favored). The majority of us can expect a mostly to partly sunny sky and breezy conditions. Afternoon temperatures will stay at to just above average.
