National cemeteries in need for ‘Wreaths Across America’ celebration

Wreaths Across America

SANTA FE, N.M. (KRQE) – It a holiday tradition to honor soldiers buried at national cemeteries, but this year they need your help.

The Santa Fe National Cemetery and Fort Bayard National Cemetery are getting ready for the annual “Wreaths Across America” celebration. Wreaths are laid on grave sites at both cemeteries.

It’s a chance to honor and show respect for soldiers this holiday season and to help the cemeteries.

The Santa Fe National Cemetery only has about 2,000 of the 53,000 wanted. Ft. Bayard has more than 3,000 of the 4,000 wanted.

Wreaths are $15 dollars.

If interested in helping, people can donate to the Santa Fe National Cemetery and Fort Bayard National Cemetery to help.
