Holiday events kick off in Albuquerque

Old Town Holiday Stroll

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – Dozens of holiday specials are being offered throughout Old Town Friday night for the annual holiday stroll.

There is also live entertainment and kids can take a photo with Santa.

The event kicks off at 5 p.m. and the annual lighting of the Christmas tree in Don Luis Plaza is scheduled for 6:15 p.m. The stroll ends at 9 p.m.

The annual “Hanging of the Greens” which includes one of the biggest local luminaria displays kicked off at the University of New Mexico Friday night as well.
