Nevada man leaves bait package for front-porch thieves

LAS VEGAS (CNN) – It’s a problem in nearly every neighborhood during the holidays: thieves driving up to steal packages right off your doorstep. But one man is fighting back.

In Nevada, Eric Snow noticed the growing problem, so he decided to leave a bait package, and it worked. Thieves took the package, but what was inside?

“I stuffed it full of reprocessed dog chow,” said Snow.

He got that from his 95 pound German Shepard named Heidi. He’s hoping the bait package is a clear message for thieves to stop. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
