ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE)– A man is facing burglary and breaking and entering charges after allegedly breaking into a home in northeast Albuquerque and getting shot, all while totally naked.

Carlos Alberto Juarez

It happened late November in a neighborhood near Menaul and Chelwood Park Boulevard.

According to a criminal complaint, Carlos Alberto Juarez was running through that neighborhood naked breaking glass and trying to get into several homes.

A neighbor at one of those homes fired shots when he wouldn’t stop entering the bedroom.

Juarez had three gunshot wounds and was booked on burglary and breaking and entering charges.

He saw a judge Sunday, but it turns out, Juarez doesn’t have a history of breaking in or breaking the law.

Police say Juarez told them he was trying to get away from his uncle.

He remains out of jail on bond. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
