AFD: Fire destroys portable building at Ventana Ranch Elementary

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – The Albuquerque Fire Department responded to a fire at Ventana Ranch Elementary in northwest Albuquerque Saturday morning.

Fire crews say a witness reported smoke and when firefighters arrived on scene they found flames coming from one of the portable buildings.

AFD says the fire has been extinguished and no injuries were reported.

They are calling the portable building a total loss, and say no other structures were threatened.

The fire is under investigation.

This is the third fire AFD responded to Saturday morning. There is no information on if the fires are connected.
