UNM hosts ‘Harry Potter Day’ on campus

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – Tuesday was “Harry Potter Day” on the University of New Mexico campus.

Students got a chance to put on their favorite Hogwarts attire during the third annual event.

They played Harry Potter trivia and made “butter beer.”

There was also a sorting hat ceremony and plenty of picture-taking opportunities.

“The main purpose of these events is to get involved and find an outlet on campus that you can relive stress that sometimes wields up from classes,” said one organizer.

Of course, the event couldn’t come to an end without doing a Harry Potter-themed mannequin challenge.

In the spring, UNM plans to host a “Star Wars Day.”
