Kristen’s Wednesday Morning Forecast

Quiet weather will make for good pre-holiday traveling...

wed2

WEDNESDAY: A quiet stretch of weather for us here in New Mexico today – perfect for those traveling for the holiday on Thursday. Sunshine will blanket the state with afternoon highs topping out in the 40s, 50s and 60s statewide. It’s worth mentioning the breezy to windy conditions possible over the Northern Mountains and Eastern Plains. No rain or snow expected within statelines.

THANKSGIVING: A storm crossing to the north of us will send down a noticeable cold front on Thursday. Expect breezy to windy conditions to fill in along and behind the front with cooler temperatures expected over western and northern NM (majority of us still in the 40s, 50s and 60s). Unfortunately, most of the moisture with this system will stay north.

FRIDAY: A mostly to partly sunny sky will blanket the state with temperatures within 5° of seasonal average. Moisture will be pulled north over southern and central NM, increasing cloud cover but not doing much (if anything) in the way of producing rain.
