Expert offers safety tips before holiday travel

ALBUQUERQUE, NM (KRQE)- For those of you planning on hitting the road this holiday it’s important to know a few safety measures.

In a recent report released by AAA, it was noted that Thanksgiving travel is going to be the busiest it has been in the past nine years. However, there are a few tips that can help those planning on visiting family or friends.

Christian Brothers Automotive Owner, Tim Johnson, joined KRQE’s This Morning team to share ways to keep safe during holiday travel. Watch above.

Tire pressure is something that is a must to check before heading out this year especially for those planning on using a roof rack, which makes cars more weighed down than usual.

Johnson also suggests to keep back windows clear and balance the heaviest items in the car.

For those looking for a check-up, head over to Christian Brothers Automotive located on 8811 2nd St. NW.
