Albuquerque firefighters hand out Thanksgiving meals

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – Some local firefighters handed out Thanksgiving meals to hundreds of families Wednesday. The bays at Fire Station Five were taken over Wednesday.

“Firefighters Random Acts” handed out the fully cooked meals to 320 families. While their group does good all year long, this event is one of the biggest.

“It’s amazing we have a bunch of volunteers who come out to help the firefighters every year and just try to bless all these families with a fully cooked meal,” said Steve Vaughan.

Around 2,000 people benefited from Wednesday’s event.
