Clouds will continue to increase throughout the night as a storm system approaches New Mexico.   A few showers could develop across extreme western New Mexico in places like Farmington, Gallup and Quemado by this evening.   The rain and Northern Mountain snow will fill in overnight Sunday into early Monday morning.

Areas above 8,500 feet in the Northern Mountains will pick up 4-7″ with some isolated higher totals at the peaks.  The San Juans in southern Colorado are under a Winter Storm Warning from Sunday night through noon on Tuesday for snow totals of 8-14″ above 8,000 feet.

The storm will be a quick hitter and it will be out of the region by early Tuesday.   The middle of the week and into Thanksgiving Day will feature sunshine and mild temperatures for this time of the year.
