Police investigate shooting near Central and Broadway

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – Police say a shooting in downtown Albuquerque Sunday night was also a robbery.

It happened around 9 p.m. near Central and Broadway. Police say one man was taken to the hospital with multiple gunshot wounds.

The man told police he was walking in the area when an unknown approached him, started a fight, then pulled a gun and shot him. The shooter took the victim’s phone and wallet, then took off.

The suspect is described as a Hispanic man about 25-30 years old. According to police, the victim is expected to survive.
