ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE)– Teeny trains making their way over tiny tracks this weekend for Rails along the Rio Grande.
The event held at Balloon Fiesta Park has drawn model train vendors and enthusiasts from across the country.
Organizers expect to see up to 3,000 visitors over the course of the weekend to check out the eight fully operating model train layouts and browse the booths of vendors from near and far.
Rails Along the Rio Grande is a volunteer-driven effort sponsored by the nonprofit National Model Railroaders Association.
The event runs again Sunday from 9 to 4.
