TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (KRQE)- The returning NCAA Cross Country champion Lobos did not repeat as champions in this year’s NCAA Championships, but they did register their 7th consecutive top 10 finish.

Alice Wright and Calli Thackery were the leading Lobos at this year’s NCAA Championships. They both earned All-American honors to help place the Lobos 7th overall in Terre Haute, Indiana on Saturday.  Wright finished with a time of 20 minutes, 13.2 second to place 19th overall, while Thackery registered a time of 20:17.4 to place 28th.

After Saturdays All-American Honors, Alice Wright ties Carole Roybal as the only athlete in program history to be named All-American three times in cross country, and when you combined that with her track & field accolades. Wright now has the most All-American honors of any female athlete in program history, with 5.
