Teacher arrested after protesting is back in the classroom

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – The middle school teacher arrested for damaging a truck during a protest last month in Albuquerque is back in the classroom.

Police say Benjamin Imbus damaged a truck that was trying to pass through protesters as they blocked the street downtown.

The protest followed a hung jury in the murder trial of two former Albuquerque officers.

The truck’s owner says it was about $1,800 in damage.

Albuquerque Public Schools will only say that after following proper procedure, Imbus is back teaching at John Adams Middle School.
