ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – With the holidays right around the corner, the temptation to over eat is very high, but with a few simple tricks, holiday eating can be avoided.
Fitness Expert, Kristin Rowe, talks holiday fit tips and at home workouts in this week’s edition of Fit Friday.
Getting a workout in early in the day and drinking plenty of water will help to curve those strong cravings. Also, don’t let the holiday become an excuse to overeat and make healthy choices. But don’t be afraid to indulge, a little bit.
Rowe joined KRQE’s This Morning team to demonstrate an easy at home workout. Watch above.
Gyms may be closed for the holidays, but that doesn’t mean the workout has to come to a halt.
Rowe lays out an easy workout you can do anywhere:
12 Squats to overhead shoulder presses.
15 Bench or Chair dips.
10 reps on each side of walking lunges with bicep curls.
40 Bicycle Crunches.
Active rest for 30 seconds, this includes jumping jacks, air punches, high knees, mountain climbers or squat jumps.
Rowe also suggests resting for 30 to 60 seconds and repeat for a total of 5 reps.
