ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – Craig Neal and the Lobos continue to get taller. Mike Parks Jr. makes it three signees for the class of 2017-18.
The 6-foot, 9-inch forward comes to the Lobos from Southwest Mississippi Community College where he is currently averaging nine points and shooting 75 percent through four games.
“I think the biggest thing with Mike is that he gives us a guy that has played two years of junior college,” said Lobos head coach Craig Neal. “He’s a tough kid, grew up in Cleveland, seven foot one wing span.”
Parks Jr. will come in with a couple of four star freshman. Chris Sodom, who stands at 7-feet, 3-inches, and 6-foot, 9-inch Isaiah “Poor Bear” Chandler make for plenty of depth in the front court.
“I am really excited about the two freshmen coming in,” said Neal. “I think they are going to be able to play right away, high minutes. They’re physically ready.”
The Lobos are 2-0 in the young season and will face rival New Mexico State Friday.
