MCKINLEY COUNTY, N.M. (KRQE) – New Mexico State Police have issued a missing endangered persons alert for two children who were taken by their mother Tuesday.
Police say Skylar Lee and Kayson Kendan Lee were taken by their biological mother, Kaylen Johnson, who does not have custody of them.
The two children were last seen in the area of Mariano Lake, New Mexico on Tuesday around 1:40 p.m., according to NMSP. Police say they were last seen traveling in a navy blue Nissan Sentra with an Arizona license plate of BHB1592.
The mother, Kaylen Johnson, is described as being a 32-year-old Native American female, she is 5-feet, 6-inches tall and has brown eyes.
Skylar Lee is described as being a three feet tall weighing 30 pounds with brown eyes and brown hair. She was last seen wearing a grey shirt with a pink heart in the middle on it and blue jeans.
Kayson Kendan Lee is described as being a two feet tall weighing 25 pounds with brown eyes and a shaved head. He was last seen wearing a beige shirt and beige pants.
