Albuquerque's Beauchamp Jewelers closing for good

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – An Albuquerque jewelry store is shutting its doors after more than six decades in business.

Beauchamp Jewelers near Louisiana and Menaul is closing its doors.

Ron Beauchamp’s parents started the business in 1951, and he’s decided to leave the family business behind to start a new adventure.

“I will be 64 years old next month and I’m still healthy, I’m still fit and while I have both of those which are super important, I’m going to take advantage of it,” said Beauchamp.

The store is holding a huge closing sale. Beauchamp hopes to be open through the holidays. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
