High pressure will slide over the state on Tuesday.  The result will be another day of warm temperatures and sunny skies.  Highs will top out in the low 70’s here in the metro area.  We could even set record highs in east central areas of the state.  Our weather begins to change on Wednesday.  Winds will increase in the mountains as a storm digs down into the Great Basin.  By Thursday the core of the main storm will pass north over Colorado.  On The south side of the storm here in New Mexico we will get slammed by a powerful cold front.  The front will dip temps by 20° by Friday.  We will also see very strong winds. Gusts could top 60mph on Thursday.  The storm clears the area by Friday but leaves behind cool temps.
