John’s Monday Afternoon Forecast

A warm afternoon...

forecast

The work week is starting sunny and mild across the state. Temperatures will be 5° – 15° above average this afternoon. The warm up continues into Tuesday as high pressure slides over the state. This will bump up the afternoon highs by another 5° or so. We stay mild on Wednesday, but clouds will start to increase across the west. That is a sign of changes to come!

A storm system will drop into Arizona on Thursday. Ahead of the storm winds will start to crank up for much of the state. Temperatures will also fall late in the day. Friday morning will likely start below the freezing mark in Albuquerque, marking the first freeze of the season. Afternoon highs will plummet for Friday afternoon, 10° – 15° below average.

As the storm system clears out early in the weekend, temperatures will rebound a bit to what is considered average for this time of year.
